Eminem calls Machine Gun Kelly’s ‘Rap Devil’ diss track ‘pitiful’

Sounding angry but restrained, Eminem said he hasn’t decided how — or even if — he’ll return fire in his ongoing feud with rapper Machine Gun Kelly.

“I want to destroy him, but I also don’t want to make him bigger,” the Detroit rapper said in the second installment of his YouTube interview with Sway Calloway.

For now, Eminem seems to be keeping his powder dry in the wake of MGK’s track “Rap Devil,” released in response to Em’s verbal attack on the album “Kamikaze.”

“It’s not bad for him,” Eminem said of the MGK song. “He had some good lines in it.”

Eminem expounded on the twisted, tangled hip-hop beef in the sit-down with Sway, a veteran hip-hop journalist and host on Em’s SiriusXM Shade 45 channel. It followed the first installment of the video interview released Tuesday.

In the interview, Eminem also shoots down the claim he tried to force Machine Gun Kelly’s hand via a call to Diddy and Interscope Records.

“It didn’t feel like a dis to me. It just felt pitiful, like, ‘Ahh, (expletive),’” Eminem said. “Now I’m feeling bad for something I didn’t even have anything to do with.”

The feud was ignited by MGK’s 2012 tweet about Eminem’s daughter, Hailie, calling the then-16-year-old “hot.”

Eminem wasn’t aware of the tweet for more than a year, he said in the Sway interview. He discovered it only after going down “the wormhole of YouTube.”

In addition to “Kamikaze,” Eminem also took issue with MGK’s recent track with veteran Kansas City rapper Tech N9ne, “No Reason (The Mosh Pit Song). There, MGK took aim at Eminem’s song “Rap God,” with the line:“To remind y’all, you just rap / You’re not gods.”

“Now I’m in this (expletive) weird thing, because I’m like, ‘I gotta answer this motherfucker,'” he said about MGK’s continued disses. “And every time I do that, it makes that person … I make them bigger by getting into this thing, where I’m like, I want to destroy him. But I also don’t want to make him bigger.'”
