Trump Says Social Distancing Guidelines Will Be Extended To April 30

President Trump announced today that the White House’s social distancing guidelines will be extended until April 30, calling his previous Easter date of reopening the country as a, aspiration.

Trump’s remarks came on the advice of medical professionals who are a part of the White House coronavirus task force.

“The modeling estimates that the peak and death rate is likely to hit in two weeks,” Trump said. “…Nothing would be worse than declaring victory before the victory is won. That would be the greatest loss of all.”

Trump also remarked that his preference for paying American’s their $600/week federal aide payments was a much faster system than the one the states are going to use, and referenced if necessary, they would re-approach the situation and possibly  handle payments from a federal level.
